I am very grateful for all of the support and encouragement throughout this blogging journey. After just 4 months of learning the ropes, I have poured my heart out to you and made some wonderful connections in the process. Part of this support has come through featured posts, shout outs and blog award nominations which i will dive into over the next few posts.
Today’s nomination came from both Chasing the Maximum Life and Delicate and Brutal. Both of these wonderful women are so different yet very similar in their loving ways. Thank you so much for your continuous support! You are both such lovely people to have in my life <3
- Thank the blogger that nominated you and give a link to their site.
- Do a post to show your award.
- Give a summary of how your blog started.
- Give two pieces of advice for any new bloggers.
- Select at least 15 other bloggers for this award.
- Let each nominee know you’ve nominated them and give a link to your post.
How did this blog start?
Well it’s a little too early to ‘remind’ people of how this all began, but for the benefit of all new readers, I wrote a post about this during the laungh of Growing With Spawn. This is my safe place to say what I want, how I want but it is mainly an ode to my daughter so she can one day be in my head. It was also inspired by the memory of my mom who had encouraged me to write from a very young age. It’s Growing with spawn because it took becoming a mom myself to finally work on my mental health 😉
Advice for new bloggers
You dont need to have a perfectly designed blog in order for you to make your writing public. Just start small and work on improving every day because everyone has to start somewhere. There will be trolls and you might not get as many views as you’d hoped for, but you will always have one person who will cheer you on and love you unconditionally – you. Keeping that in mind, I would advise against the writing to help your readers theory being the most important because as much as that is important for the views, you should write for yourself first.
Each of you have played such a vital role in my blogging journey so it’s only fitting to recognise how awesome you are!
