Hi everyone, I recently got tagged by my fellow mom and lovely blogger friend, Jan, to join her in this fun thread, so of course I jumped right on it. If you don’t know Jan, she’s basically a positive foodie who has a way with words. She writes about anything and everything, much like I do, so if you love Growing With Spawn, you will most likely love her too!

Who am I?
Stealing Jan’s words – “I’m a working mom by day and a blogger by night”. I currently have two kids, Spawny (the muse and reason for this blog) and my husband … and they are both my world!
What’s a perfect day?
This has changed so much since the year started, so take this with a pinch of salt, but a perfect day is one where I get a good workout in, spend quality time with my kiddos and also have time to just ‘woosah’. Lately I’ve been enjoying reading other blogs, watching tv series and just staring into space. I think with everything going on in life, it feels really nice to just stop and do absolutely nothing. I forgot to mention the most important part of a ‘good’ day – good food! Pizza, fruits, a lovely salad and a sangria are definitely a must!
What do I do?
Ugh I really hate this question… I mean, what does anybody do? Professionally I’m in the currency trading industry, but I’d like to think that this question is more of a “what do you do in your free time” than a boring “what’s your occupation”. So answering my version of the question; I write a lot, I listen to music, I get lost in the YouTube black hole, I play with my kiddo and binge talk to my younger sisters. I used to be more outgoing, but lately (and probably due to the dreading ageing process) I enjoy doing anything that doesn’t require much any muscle movements or brain power.
Why do I blog?
Those of you who have been following me since the beginning may have already read the post about this, but for those who are fairly new, I do it to express myself and leave something for my daughter to read when she is older. My mom died when I was just fourteen and I never got to know her as anything other than a mom – something I never really got over. Well, that’s not happening with spawn! I am expressing myself so that my daughter can one day get into her mama’s brain. I’ve been documenting out lives since falling pregnant with her and a lot of what I actually write doesn’t make it to the blog because… well… it’s a bit too personal.
You’re tagged!

That is a lovely photo of you! You look like a doll. And I can definitely get behind your perfect day, slow and easy is always nice.
Thanks so much 💖 I appreciate it and I appreciate you Micah!
Thanks for joining in with the tag Shelly! I loved reading your post.
I chuckled reading about your ‘woosah’ moments in a perfect day. How good are those!
And a sangria – yum! Would you be surprised that I love an espresso martini?! 😋😂 🍸
How amazing that you blog as a memoir for your daughter – that’s brilliant! Your daughter would absolutely treasure that one day. I wrote a (private blog) letter for my son when I first found out I was pregnant. You’ve inspired me to keep that going, so thank you! 🙏
Espresso martini?! 🤔 I’ve never heard of such! Lol there’s the coffee lover coming out!! Thanks so much for tagging me in this, it’s such a fun way to get to know each other!! I hope you get towoosah too being a busy mama!
Haha I’m not surprised the tea lover in you haven’t heard of espresso martinis.
Your so welcome.
I try to squeeze a woosah in when I can – managed to snag a warm bath for myself this morning.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Chat again soon XX
Ps – sent you an email with a tiny request btw ☺️
Opposes saw it and corrected! 😉
Thanks☺️
